Another Case Against Glucosamine Supplements

It always seems that relieving any kind of chronic health ailment could be as simple as addressing deficiencies with pills. If you're short on a particular nutrient, why not just fill that need in?  

Unfortunately, that just isn't the case with glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate supplements. Not only do the supplements seem ineffective for preventing deterioration of knee cartilage and the arthritic pain that accompanies it, one source found that the supplements could potentially worsen the bone bruises they are intended to relieve and may also interfere with blood thinning medications.
